2026 Greer Christmas Parade

We’re excited for this year’s parade! Please review the key details below—these are required for participation.
Important Dates & Requirements:
Parade Date: Sunday, December 6, 2026 | 2:30 PM (rain or shine, no alternate date). In the event the Parade is canceled, entry fees cannot be refunded.
Lineup Begins: 1:00 PM-you must be in your line up spot and ready by 2:00 pm.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT: Lineup Packet Pickup
All participants must pick up their parade lineup packet (this includes your lineup number) at:
Greer Relief – 113C Berry Ave, Greer
Tuesday, Dec. 1 OR Thursday, Dec. 3
Between the hours of 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The line up packet will include line up numbers for each vehicle in your registration. Vehicles must have their line up numbers visible on their vehicle on parade day to be allowed into parade line up.
No packet pickup = removal from the parade with no refund. No line up number displayed on each vehicle in your registration at the parade = removal from the parade with no refund.
$875 – Rented float w/ music (includes truck & driver)
$800 – Rented float (includes truck & driver)
$125 – Commercial entries (business-sponsored)
$75 – Non-commercial / nonprofit entries
We’re thrilled by the growing interest in the parade! To help keep the event safe, organized, and enjoyable for everyone, additional vehicle registrations are no longer permitted unless you are a car club. Two vehicles are includes with your registration. A vehicle refers to a car, truck, trailer, or any unit on wheels.
Food Truck Entry Fee – $100
Must have a City of Greer Business License, SC DHEC Permit, Mobile Food Vendor permit, SC Retail License, SLED Background check no more than 30 days old, and proof of insurance and registration to participate. Will be required to pay Hospitality Tax. Info can be found at (https://www.cityofgreer.org/o/prt/page/event-vendor-opportunities).
Vendor is responsible for all equipment, utilities, permits, licenses, staffing, and supplies necessary to operate during the Greer Christmas Parade.
No exclusivity on menu items. Participation in the Greer Christmas Parade does not grant exclusivity over any menu item, food category, or product sold.
All entries must be Christmas-themed and family-appropriate. Any unit that does not meet these criteria from the Parade will be removed. All floats and vehicles must be in a safe operating condition, with all passengers and displays properly secured. All vehicles must be street legal or a trailer. Units ejected from the Parade, will not be refunded the entry fee.
Accurate entry length (in feet) is required. This is not optional! If you do not have an accurate entry length on parade day, you may be moved to the back of the parade.
Entries must keep moving—no stopping to perform, no slowing down for walkers to refill candy. You must stay close behind the unit in front of you.
Trash must be picked up during lineup and after the parade. A fine may be issued if trash is not picked up. This includes parking areas such as United Bank, the Greer Post Office, the Clock, & Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market.
Adult-to-child ratios required for groups with children. Must be no less than 1:10 for ages 6 – 12 or 2:5 for ages 5 and under.
NO throwing candy or items from vehicles
Candy may only be handed out by walkers. Participants walking beside the entry may distribute candy, but it must be done safely by handing the candy directly to the recipients while walking beside the vehicle. This policy is in place to ensure the safety of the parade attendees, we do not want small children running into the street, in front of a moving vehicle, for candy.
Violations result in ban + $500 reinstatement fee
Prohibited items include:
Open fires, silly string, political materials
Side-by-side trailers
Exotic animals (unless preapproved)
Undiapered horses
Santa (Greer Relief provides the Santa float)
Located at the beginning of the route (The Clock → Hubert St.)
No loud noises (horns, sirens, drums, revving engines, etc.)
All participants must comply
By registering, participants:
Agree to hold harmless Greer Relief, the City of Greer, and parade affiliates
Acknowledge all fees are non-refundable including float rental fees
Agree to follow all parade rules and safety policies
Accept the inherent risks of public events, including communicable illnesses
I, the undersigned, agree to hold harmless any person, Greer Relief, City of Greer, or anyone officially affiliated with the Greer Christmas Parade for any loss, costs, damages, or injury to person or property. The Parade Committee and others associated with the parade accept no liability. All fees and charges are non-refundable. I understand that participation in the Sensory Safe Zone is mandatory. By signing this agreement, I agree to comply with the rules and regulations of the Greer Parade and acknowledge that there may be consequences for violations of the rules. Candy and other items may not be thrown. Participants walking beside the entry may distribute candy, but it must be done safely by handing the candy directly to the recipients while walking beside the vehicle. Failure to comply with this rule will result in your group's name being added to a publicly published list of banned participants. To have your name removed from this list and participate in future parades, a $500 fee must be paid. This policy is in place to ensure the safety of parade attendees, as we want to prevent small children from running into the street in front of moving vehicles in pursuit of candy. Any public gathering presents an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases and illnesses. Personal responsibility should govern all guests' decisions to attend and/or participate. Anyone exhibiting cold or flu symptoms is asked to stay at home. Guests assume all risks, hazards, and dangers arising from or relating in any way to the risk of contracting COVID-19, or a bacteria, virus or other pathogen capable of causing a communicable disease or illness. By choosing to attend any Christmas at Greer Station event(s), guests voluntarily waive all claims and potential claims against the City of Greer, Greer Relief and Resources and the Greer Station Association relating to such risks.
